Today, the organizers of the "II Russian Forum of Food Security" announced the final statistics of the event. The forum, the central theme of which sounded as "Environmentally friendly products - the basis of the nation's health", gave a vast field for the press and the widest audience.

According to the forum operator - the Investment Promotion Agency - the forum was covered by more than 200 journalists from federal, regional business and industry media. Dozens of important statements were made at thematic panel sessions and the plenary session. Top-15 most cited speakers of the "II Russian Food Security Forum" were leaded by the governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev, the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert and the head of the Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection Anna Popova. In particular, the great response was caused by the statement of Alexander Tkachev that Russia can take up to 15% of the world market of organic products, the volume of which in the next 5 years will increase from 100 to 200 billion dollars. The media also responded to the statement of the governor of the Rostov region on the introduction of a new subject in the schools of the region on the 1st of September - the basic knowledge of healthy food. Sergei Dankvert's view on the ineffectiveness of the state procurement system for foodstuffs for social institutions and his proposal to delegate authority over the quality and safety of products to the regions, which would provide a stricter control over them,  were widely replicated,. In turn, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova noted that the quality of food today is made up of safety indicators, the usefulness of products and consumer properties, and in terms of safety, domestic products meet the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor more than imported.

Among the people who were most often mentioned in the media materials concerning the "II Russian Food Security Forum" are the first persons of the leading Russian companies working in the agro-industrial complex. For example, the director general of Aston, Vadim Vikulov, said at the forum that Russian exporters and processors of agricultural products intend to sign a charter to refuse mediators, urged agricultural producers not to use "gray" schemes, but to make agreements with exporters and industries. The key speakers of the forum were also the president of the New Commonwealth Industrial Union, Konstantin Babkin, the senior vice president of joint-stock financial corporation Sistema, Ali Uzdenov, the chairman of the Union of Sugar Producers of Russia Andrey Bodin, the director general of Atlantis Pak Igor Pereplyotchikov.

Specialised experts shared with the forum participants their vision of the prospects for the development of the food industry and related industries, the export of Russian food products. According to the project manager of the National Association of Genetic Safety, Nadezhda Novosyolova, ecologically-friendly products can become a "new oil" in Russia, as they have a high production potential. At present, the cost of a basket of organic products is about $ 500 per month, intensive development of the industry will make healthy food more affordable.

The dialogue of professionals allowed to present different points of view on the sectoral issues and a wide range of issues related to healthy food, the role of the food industry in the development of the country's human resources".

We add that the "II Russian Food Security Forum" gathered more than 2,000 participants from 32 Russian regions, including Krasnodar and Stavropol Krai, Astrakhan, Volgograd, Bryansk, Kaliningrad, Leningrad, Moscow, Lipetsk regions, the Republic of Tatarstan, Crimea, Kalmykia, the Republic Sakha (Yakutia) and other subjects of the Russian Federation. An important part of the business program of the forum was a profile exhibition. According to the Investment Promotion Agency, the total area of exhibition expositions of regions and companies at the II Russian Food Security Forum exceeded 9,000 sq.m. Over 2000 items of Russian producers' products - food, live fish, poultry, crop production, agricultural equipment, seeds, fertilizers, innovative packaging, equipment for food and processing industry were exhibited.

Atlantis-Pak, Rostselmash, Yug Rusi, ASTON, the FosAgro group, and the White Bird agro holding were the partners of the Forum. Press partners of the II Russian Food Security Forum were "Russia 24", "Interfax", "Expert", "Vedomosti", "Vestnik of Agricultural Complex".

The "II Russian Food Security Forum" was highly appreciated by the federal authorities. The next forum is scheduled to be held in 2019.
